Frequently asked questions

What is Twinklin?

Twinklin is a cleaning marketplace. You book directly with a self-employed cleaner — you see their profile, their reviews and their rate before you confirm. If you want the same person back every time, you keep them for every visit.

How much does it cost?

Cleaners set their own rates. You compare cleaners and see the price before you book — nothing gets added at checkout. There's no fixed national rate card, because the price reflects the cleaner, not a Twinklin markup.

Are Twinklin cleaners checked?

Every cleaner has had their identity and right to work in the UK checked before they can accept a booking — a government-issued ID and a right-to-work document, reviewed by our team. You'll see an ID Verified badge on their profile. Full detail: /trust.

What happens if my cleaner cancels?

Twinklin never leaves you paying for a clean that doesn't happen — if your cleaner cancels on any single visit, we automatically find you a replacement or refund you in full.

Can I keep the same cleaner every time?

Yes. Book them again directly from their profile, or set up a regular series with them.

What if my regular cleaner leaves for good?

If your regular cleaner ever leaves your series for good, you decide what happens next — see the new price before anything changes, or cancel with no penalty, no questions asked.

Can I book a cleaner for today?

Often, yes — it depends on who's covering your area and what's already on their schedule that day. Check availability for your postcode in the app; we don't promise same-day everywhere, because we're not going to tell you something's available when it might not be.

How do I book?

Tell us what you need, compare real cleaners near you — their rate, their reviews, when they're free — then book directly. No calls, no waiting for an agency to get back to you.

What areas do you cover?

Check your postcode in the app — coverage is growing and the fastest way to see who's near you right now is to search your own street.
